Travel by minibus from Chiangmai to Chiangrai in the morning. After lunch in Chiangrai, enjoy a boat trip along the Mae Kok River to a Karen hill tribe village. From there ride an elephant in a one-and-a-half-hour trip to a Yao hill tribe village. Transfer to hotel for the night.

After breakfast go to Doi Tung, seeing spectacular mountain and jungle scenery en route, to visit an Akha hill tribe village. While in the area, visit the palace which belonged to the King's late mother. Have lunch before proceeding to Maesai on the Mynmar (Burmese) border, inside the "Golden Triangle". Return to Chiangmai.

I n the morning, leave Chiangmai by plane for Mae Hongsorn. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on the Pai River to see a Padown (Long Neck) tribe village. Stay overnight at the hotel in Mae Hongsorn.

H ave breakfast, then enjoy the amazing natural beauty of the Mae Hongsorn jungles while perched on the back of an elephant. Ride for approximately an hour and a half before returning to the hotel for lunch. Return to Chiangmai by plane in the afternoon.
