| Day 1 |
After breakfast in Chiangmai, leave for Lampoon by air-conditioned minibus. In Lampoon, visit Wat Phra Thad Haripoonchai, the district's oldest temple. Continue to Lampang where you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city from a horse-drawn carriage, for which the city is famous. Have lunch at a restaurant before continuing to Sukhothai, Thailand's first capital, which flourished during the 13th and 14th centuries. Drive on to Pitsanuloke, where you will stay the night after visiting a factory at which Buddha statues are made, and Wat Phra Srirattana Mahathat, a "living" temple where people go daily to pray. |
| Day 2 |
Have breakfast before leaving Pitsanuloke for Lopburi. Continue to Ayuthaya, the capital of Thailand from 1350 to 1767, and see some of the many important historical sites. Visit nearby Bang-pa In, the beautiful summer palace. After lunch in Ayuthaya, leave for Bangkok, where you will transfer to hotel on arrival. |
