Leave Chiangmai by van in the early morning for Sanpatong. Ride elephants for approximately one hour before starting the 35-minute trek to nearby Meo village, where you can meet hill tribe people and see their skilled craftsmanship. Then ride to a nearby waterfall where lunch will be provided. Visit a Karen hill tribe village in the afternoon before taking an exciting river raft trip, which last approximately one and a half hours. Return to Chiangmai.

Travel from Chiangmai to Shan village by truck, which takes approximately 2.5 hours. Lunch will be provided at a hot spring, if time allows. After lunch, start the 2-hour trek to Karen village, where you will meet some the area's hill tribe people. Then set out on the 90-minute walk to the elephant camp where you will have dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast, ride elephant for the 90-minute trip to Lahu village. From there, raft to Shan village in a scenic one-and-a-half-hour trip. Have lunch and return to Chiangmai by truck.

Day 1

Travel from Chiangmai to Shan village by truck, which takes approximately 2.5 hours. Lunch will be provided at a hot spring, if time allows. Trek for about 1 hour to a Karen hill tribe village, where you will meet some the area's hill tribe people. From there, walk through the hills, enjoying the landscape's natural beauty in a two-hour trek to another Karen village. Then set out on the 90-minute walk to the elephant camp where you will have dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast, ride elephant for the 90-minute trip to Lahu village. From there, raft to Shan village in a breath-taking one and a half-hour trip. Have lunch. In the afternoon, visit Akha village and return to Shan village in a three-hour round trip hike.

Have breakfast and enjoy about three hours of free time at Shan village before visiting a scenic waterfall and a beautiful orchid nursery. Return to Chiangmai by truck.
