Leave Chiangmai by pick-up truck for Doi Inthanond National Park. At 2,565 meters, Doi Inthanond is the highest mountain in Thailand. In the park, trek for approximately 5 hours through the fantastic evergreen forest, enjoying some of the most spectacular scenery the north has to offer. Have dinner and stay overnight at a Karen hill tribe village.

Leave the Karen village after breakfast and travel by truck to the peak of Doi Inthanond. Visit Phra Mahathat Napamettanedol and Phra Mahathat Napapolphumisiri which were built by the people of Thailand and presented to their Majesties the King and Queen on their 60th birthdays. Continue to a Meo tribe village. Then return to Chiangmai, stopping to enjoy lunch at Vachiratan waterfall on the way.
